Pre-approval

One of the biggest questions I get from people looking for home loans in Oregon and Washington is:

“How Do I Get Pre-approved?”

Well, I can answer that question in two easy steps:

Number 1, gather up the following documentation:

  • most recent 30 days paystubs for all borrowers
  • most recent bank statements (all accounts, all pages)
  • 2009 & 2010 Federal Tax returns (all pages, personal & business, if applicable)
  • most recent 401k/retirement statements
  • any divorce decree/child support/bankruptcy paperwork if applicable
  • any award letters for Social Security/Disability/Pension if applicable
  • valid Driver’s License for all borrowers

Step number 2: call/contact a Licensed Mortgage Professional, and complete a home loan application. As far as a Mortgage Professional, I recommend me ;-)
