This website is obviously meant to be a little humorous, because that is my personality. However, I want you to understand that I am quite serious about what I do.
I work in the home loan business. I have been in the mortgage industry in Oregon and Washington since 2005, and I have pretty much done it all. I have originated home loans, processed home loans, been a Compliance Officer (the guy that makes sure that all files meet legal requirements)…I actually almost became a junior underwriter!
What I Do Now
I am a Mortgage Advisor (MLO #119032) for Pinnacle Mortgage Bankers in Vancouver, WA. I like that Pinnacle calls me a “Mortgage Advisor”, because that’s exactly how I view my role.
Technically speaking, I am a Mortgage Loan Originator. But to me, that carries an undertone of sales. Not to knock salespeople, but what I do isn’t sales. I am here to provide relevant information to people in search of financing for Real Estate. Once I provide that information, I give my professional advice to my clients so that THEY can make an educated decision that meets their needs. It’s not my job to sell you on FHA, USDA,VA, or Conventional home loans; it’s my passion to provide information about those options so that you feel comfortable choosing the best one for you.

After selecting the home loan that works for you, I become your advocate. I sometimes joke that I feel like an attorney. It’s my job to make your case to the underwriter, and work with the bank to get your loan funded.
Taking the “worry” off of your shoulders is fundamental to what I do. There are a lot of moving parts in any home loan transaction, and I like making sure all of those pieces are moving in the same direction. Communication is the lifeblood of a successful closing.
I make a point of attending every closing appointment that I can. I wouldn’t walk you down a path to a river, then leave you to cross on your own.
